Mango-Chili Sorbet

Sweet mango – the queen of fruit – meets spicy chilly in this ice cream.

Thanks to their many valuable ingredients, mangos not only have a purifying but also a beautifying effect (beta-carotene, vitamins A and C) and, together with a chilly pepper, can even help you lose weight. Baobab also helps to increase the energy metabolism.

Now you can make this delicious detox and low carb ice cream yourself, with or without an ice cream machine.

For about 500ml.


  • 1 Dried chili pepper (small)
  • 1 Orange
  • 1 Lemon
  • 100g Birch sweetener (Xylith) alternatively coconut blossom sugar
  • 1 Baobab powder (optional)
  • 2 Large, ripe mangos
  • 250ml Water


  1. Crumble the spicy pepper in 5 tablespoons of water and bring to the boil. Simmer for about 2 minutes and drain the water.
  2. Cut orange and lemon in half and squeeze the juice.
  3. Mix the birch sweetner (alternatively coconut blossom sugar) with the squeezed juice Add 250ml water and bring to the boil. Remove from the heat after about 3 minutes and let it cool down completely.
  4. Peel the ripe mangos and cut the flesh into pieces. Put them into the blender together with the cooled orange-lemon mixture. Add the chilli and Baoabab powder and puree finely for 2-3 minutes.

If you do not have an ice-cream maker, pour the finished mixture into a freezer-proof container and place it in the freezer compartment covered. Stir the freezing mixture well with a fork or spoon every 40 minutes. After 4-5 hours the ice cream is ready.
